£4000 Payment Protection Claim for West Midlands Woman.
£4000 Payment Protection Claim for West Midlands Woman.
A woman from the West Midlands has received nearly £4000 in payment protection compensation after challenging her bank, the Halifax with the help of a PPI claims firm says online press site PR Log.
In 2006 Ms Lesley from Dudley took out some consolidation finance from the Halifax who at the time advised her to take out PPI as part of the finance which would cover her in case of redundancy accident or if she became ill and could not work.
Ms Lesley says that she was not made aware that Payment Protection Insurance was an optional extra, instead it was thought that she could only get the loan if she took out the PPI which is classed as a case of payment protection misselling.
Lenders need to make sure that the customer is completely clear on certain things when they sell PPI including ensuring that the customer understands that:
- It is optional to take out PPI and not compulsory as part of the finance.
- PPI can be taken out with a third party.
If you have taken out PPI with a loan or credit card and unsure if it was mis sold, complete our free PPI claim form today for advice on if you have a payment protection claim.
